"Of Clay and Wattles made"
Competition entry : Spring 2015
The competition was ran in early 2015 to propose an intervention in response to Yeats' poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree, in commemoration with Yeats' 150th birthday. The concept became about providing the island visitors with a series of moments, or small interventions which are dispersed across the island in places where they can provide the island visitor with many singular ways to experience the island. A modular shape was to be constructed and from the module, a bench, a shelter and a poetry pavilion were to be constructed and organised towards specific views. The shelter and pavilion were to be clad in mirrored glass in order to better disguise them amongst the existing vegetation.
